Ljubljana, 14 October 2015; the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana was awarded an extension of its prestigious international EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation. This quality certificate, which ranks the FELU among the best, top-quality business schools in the world, was awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

The EQUIS accreditation is based on the commitment to high quality and continuous progress in business education. The accreditation is awarded according to strict and comprehensive criteria in areas including management of institution and the creation of an effective learning environment, study programmes and delivery, care for student development, the faculty and expert staff, research based on high research standards, education for managerial staff, internationalisation, social responsibility and links with the corporate world.

In July the evaluators – reputable deans and professors of renowned international schools – evaluated the FELU’s achievement of quality standards. During their visit, they interviewed over 120 FELU stakeholders, FELU and University management representatives, faculty and expert staff, students, representatives of the corporate sector and Alumni Club members.

In their report, the evaluators stated that the FELU has achieved great progress in the last three years and proven the highest quality of its operations with its work. Extension of the EQUIS accreditation is recognition of the excellence of the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana that would not be possible without the FELU’s interaction with the business environment and mutual co-operation with all of its partners.
