Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana is one of the partners in an international consortium which studies talent management, GETM3. The project received European funding from H2020,  the largest EU Research and Innovation programme. In April 2018 researchers and company representatives from Ireland, the UK, Poland, Slovenia, and South Korea met in Warsaw, Poland. During an intensive 5-day programme they participated in two scientific conferences, presenting the empirical findings of GETM3 studies and brainstormed new ideas along with developing plans for future work. A very important part of the visit was also a 1-day meeting with the representative of the EU Research Executive Agency. This was the time to reflect on the work that was done thus far, followed by a formal evaluation. After a day full of presentations and discussions, the EU representative provided a very positive feedback on the scope and execution of the project. This gave researchers in the consortium motivation and energy to continue with the activities towards fulfilling objectives.

Two researchers from Faculty of Economics, Department for Management and Organization represented the Slovenian partners at the meetings: Professor Nada Zupan, the initiator of the project and Associate Professor Katarina Katja Mihelič, leader of the Employers’ Work Package. Professor Mihelič presented the scientific work of the research group and outlined the characteristics of a successful partnership between academia and industry, with two successful companies Kolektor and Medex, which are partners in the project.

The next meeting of GETM3 researchers is scheduled for July in Daegu, South Korea and then in September in Ljubljana.

We invite you to follow the ongoing activites of the project via GETM3 official FB page: https://www.facebook.com/globalentrepreneurialtalentmanagement/
