We hosted Prof Lučka Kajfež Bogataj and Ms Paloma Zapata in the Environmental Economics and Tourism course

In the Environmental Economics and Tourism course, we hosted Prof Lučka Kajfež Bogataj on 4 April 2023 and Ms Paloma Zapata on 11 April 2023. Prof Kajfež Bogataj is a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and a professor at UL and has lectured on climate change and policy. Ms Zapata is the Executive Director of Sustainable Tourism International (STI) and an advisor to the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Change in Tourism, of which SEB LU is a signatory. STI is a leading organisation in the field of decarbonising tourism, and the discussion revolved around ways to achieve carbon neutrality in tourism by 2050. The discussions are an integral part of the SEB LU business project on pathways to carbon neutrality that students are preparing for the One Planet Sustainable Tourism Programme of the UN.
