You are not on your own – psychological support for SEBLU students

Psychological support is there to help you get through a challenge, whether it be personal or related to your studies. You can book a session with your counsellor who can help you find a way forward when you are:

  • facing a difficult situation,
  • looking for emotional support and/or motivation,
  • feeling like your confidence has gone down,
  • dealing with anxiety,
  • wanting to get empowered to independently cope with difficulties that are coming your way,
  • working out what your skills and strengths are.

How to arrange a session

Get in touch with your counsellor by sending an email to biba@ribalon.org and tell her about your preferences and availability to start. You don’t have to disclose any information as to why you’re accessing the service. Together you’ll work out the best way and channel to start.

Your counsellor will not disclose your personal information to anyone. What you talk about remains confidential between you two and is breached only if you might be at risk of harm, in which case we’ll do what we can to look after you by engaging further support with your permission.

Nobody should be left behind when facing difficult situations. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but rather the opposite. However, here are a few perks you can try yourself that might be of help when going through a challenge:

  • Create a daily routine that works for you.
  • Look after your physical wellbeing.
  • Don’t ignore signs of feeling low.
  • Learn skills of choosing your thoughts.
  • Focus on small steps and tasks that are manageable first.
  • Think about what you want as opposed to what you don’t.
  • Stay connected with people that matter.
  • Look for help when it becomes too much.
