Institute of Public Health, Ministry of Health RS and University Clinical Centre Ljubljana, Department of Infectious Diseases closely monitor the situation concerning the influenza A (H1N1). They are in constant contact with the early detection and notification system of European Union Member States, the European Centre of Disease Prevention and Control and the World Health Organization.
There hasn't been confirmed case of infection by influenza A (H1N1) at the Faculty of Economics. To reduce the possibility of infection in the future, the Faculty started with the following measures:
• made the disinfection fluids available for use to the students and employees,
• provide more intensive cleaning and disinfection of FELU’s premises,
• raise the awareness (among students and staff) of self protection and preventing the spread of possible infection.
You can protect yourself and the others from spreading the infection (PDF). by taking the following measures :
• Stay at home and keep away from people as much as possible for the first seven days of your return from infected areas and even longer if the symptoms persist;
• Wash your hands with soap and water frequently – wash them every time you cough, sneeze or sniff;
• Cover your nose and mouth with disposable tissues when sneezing, coughing and sniffing – always dispose of the used tissues properly.
