Students from the EMTM (European Master in Tourism Management) and the FELU tourism master programme, lead by Prof. Tanja Mihalič, have returned from the fifth ITHAS 2010 (International Tourism and Hospitality Academy at Sea). The topic was Small Scale Tourism Development. Distinguished professors from USA, Canada and Europe have given various morning lectures on wooden boats while these were sailing. In the afternoons, students got to know various small scale tourism destinations on the islands of Vis, Korčula and Brač, as well as on Pelješac peninsula. Academy has been attended by 100 tourism students from Finland, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia and Canada. FELU student delegation was 13 students, who successfully completed the project assignment on tourism development and the economy of scale. All gained the ITHAS certificate.
