ALUMNI & eVino : a glass of excellent wine in good company
On 16 April FELU’s Alumni Club and wine sponsor held a gathering in the idyllic eVino wine bar. The wine tasting began with a glass of Prosecco Valdobbiadene Trevisiol, a mature, deep flavoured wine, followed by a traditional but unique Pinot Gris and Merlot wine from the Gašper winery. It was launched last December by the owner of eVino and the host of this gathering Gašper Čarman. Gašper explained that his wines are selling well on the Slovenian market and he is now seeking opportunities abroad. He proposed a toast to Alumni Club members, saying: “This 2011 merlot is attractive because it is made by the distillation of grapes rather than must, which contributes to the wine’s casual, fruity taste.” Gašper also expressed his belief that a new wine culture in Slovenia can be developed by such gatherings. He extended a warm invitation to socialize after work on 14 May at eVino Bar. “Meetings after work” will be held regularly due to the great response, and eVino has become an official sponsor of Alumni Club events.
