The Alumni Club is richer by one more section. On Thursday, 8 May 2014, at the Faculty of Economics, the first event of the new, fifth section of the Alumni Club called MARKEThink  took place. “Alumni Club members and marketing enthusiasts will have a chance to get to know the new concepts and examples of good practice in marketing,” said Nejc Slovnik, president of the MARKEThink section, in his opening speech. The Alumni club president Janez Škrabec proudly greeted and congratulated the new section and introduced the guest of the event, Emil Tedeschi, chairman of the board of directors at Atlantic Grupa.

“I’ve always been a dreamer.”

I never thought I would become an entrepreneur,” said the founder of the company behind the brands Cedevita, Cockta, Argeta, Smoki and others, noting that the beginnings were really difficult.

Organisation with a soul

The success of the international corporation, which currently sells  its strong brands in eleven countries can be attributed to the solid integrity of its employees and the importance of soul in the company. “No one can beat a company with a soul because this represents a source of innovation and creativity,” he said.

“Brands are like children.”

“Brands are like children. They’re complicated, full of joy, and often don’t know how to listen. But in the end, they always surprise you with good things,” is how Mr. Tedeschi compared brands to children, adding that you have to find the best way to manage your brands. The atmosphere in the hall was very pleasant and relaxed. Mr. Tedeschi inspired us with his stories and then the gathering continued in the lobby, where the participants were able to enjoy good music and attend the Party in the Spotlight afterwards.
