Guest Lecture at Tourism Economics class

On 9 October 2014, Mr. Marjan Hribar was a host lecturer at Tourism Economics (run by prof. Tanja Mihalič) of the postgraduate study program of Tourism. Mr. Hribar is the Director General at the Tourism and Internationalization Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia. He lectured on tourism development, green image, sustainable development and how nine ministers responsible for the tourism sector, were regularly replaced by the government in the period of last eight years.

Students, who prepared for the lecture and were well informed about the tourism’s strategy and politics asked a lot of questions. Director Hribar illustrated his career path and answered questions regarding tax law for small business in tourism, usage of tax funds, Slovenian traffic (in)accessibility, development of tourism in cities and the partnership between tourist development figures.
