On Monday 6 October 2014, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics Prof. Metka Tekavčič PhD and the President and General Manager of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS), Samo Hribar Milič, signed an agreement on cooperation in the project »Business analysis of a company« through which both institutions will offer the possibility of the planned and efficient transfer of knowledge and research findings to the business sector. Multidisciplinary teams will be offering an opportunity for business diagnostics as well as counselling services from the areas of business law, finance and risk management, organisation of production, accounting and auditing, management and strategies, marketing, HRM and standardisation of business practices.

In her introductory speech, Prof. Metka Tekavčič PhD stressed the fact that the FELU’s curriculum pays a lot of attention to business analysis. In the spirit of developing cooperation between the FELU and the CCIS, Mr Milič pointed out successful joint projects in different areas: from corporate integrity, the Academy of Internationalisation, the strategy of tourism and the timber industry’s development among others. »With this new form of cooperation, we are establishing the possibility of Slovenian businesses acquiring expert information on their business as well as suggestions for how to improve their business results. Connecting top experts from the FELU with experts from the CCIS could facilitate better results for the Slovenian economy.«
