Doctoral Programme in Economics and Business: Information session 2015

For the eighth consecutive year the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana (the FELU) announces enrolment in the Doctoral Programme in Economics and Business. Information session was held on Tuesday, 10 March 2015 at the Faculty of Economics.

Participants were firstly addressed by the Vice-Dean and Full Prof. Vesna Žabkar, highlighting what work is done by a researcher and what is expected from candidates who enroll in doctoral studies. Then she passed the word to Assoc. Prof. Marko Pahor, coordinator of the doctoral program. Afterwards, the participants listened to the intersting and positive experience of Teach. Assistant Alenka Slavec, Doctoral Programme Graduate. Another great experience with the doctoral programme was shared by Matej Sodin, Doctoral Programme Student. At the end, Prof. Pahor spoke about the details of the application process, study tracks and majors the students can choose from and he also presented the interdisciplinary doctoral programmes in Statistics and Environmental Protection.

An interesting fact – nearly 32 percent more participants than last year attended this year’s information session on doctoral studies.

The doctoral programme is comparable to the best doctoral programmes in EU countries, both in structure and in organisation. In addition, the Faculty of Economics and its programmes have been awarded the AACSB (716 schools in 48 countries) and EQUIS (152 schools in 40 countries) international business schools accreditations, which put our school among top business schools in Europe.

Applications for enrolment in the 2015/2016 academic year will be available from 11 March 2015. Please note that at the Faculty of Economics the application deadline for doctoral studies is 22 June 2015.
