The Dean of the Faculty of Economics participated in the inaugural ceremony of the Economic Research Institute of Central & Eastern Europe at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai

As a special invited guest, dean prof. dr. Metka Tekavčič joined on January 23, 2017 the official inaugural ceremony of the new Economic Research Institute of Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai. On this occasion, she and the Dean of the business school at Corvinius University in Budapest, prof. dr. Zito Zoltayné Paprika, gave speeches to an audience of high dignitaries from China and Central and Eastern Europe where they presented their schools and cooperation possibilities between China and Central and Eastern Europe within the 16+1 cooperation mechanism. In the afternoon, there were keynote speakers at a special seminar on the economies of Central and Eastern Europe. The Faculty of Economics University of Ljubljana has also signed a special strategic cooperation agreement in the areas of research, faculty exchange, as well as doctoral and postdoctoral cooperation. This strategic cooperation is also supported by the EFMD and represents the school’s strategy of becoming the school of choice in Central and Eastern Europe.
