Prof. Dr Metka Tekavčič, the Dean of FELU, among the speakers at the 10th Eduniversal World Convention in Dubai

At the 10th Eduniversal World Convention in Dubai the Dean, Prof. Dr Metka Tekavčič, was the speaker at the roundtable entitled “How to train responsible managers”. Another speaker, besides Prof. Dr Tekavčič, was Dr Tim London, Director of International Relations at the University of Cape Town – UCT Graduate School of Business, South Africa. The round table was moderated by Prof. Dr Michael Wood, member of the Eduniversal Scientific Committee.
Prof. Dr Tekavčič emphasised that the content in the areas of ethics and social responsibility can be learned, but it is not enough to only learn it. Ethical and responsible conduct requires an individual to apply a comprehensive approach. Through a set of examples, she presented how the Faculty of Economics ensures that ethical and socially responsible content is incorporated at all three study levels, with particular emphasis on training designed for managerial staff.
