On Thursday March 7 2019, students of the master’s course Tourism Destination Management visited the company Arctur d.o.o. in Nova Gorica. They were warmly welcomed by the CEO and founder of the company Tomi Ilijaš and the head of the HPC and Cloud Computing division Nejc Bat.
During the visit, they were introduced to the project Tourism 4.0, which aims to leverage advanced technologies – such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence and internet of things – to make travelling more efficient and safer, whilst reducing the negative impact on the environment. After the introductory presentation, the students were joined by the ambassador of Montenegro to Slovenia, H.E. Dr Vujica Lazović. They were introduced to the company’s very own supercomputer, one of the largest privately owned supercomputers in Central and Eastern Europe.
