Day of languages at primary school Kolezija
On Monday, 23rd September 2019, Confucius Institute Ljubljana was invited to attend the European Day of Languages: Let’s get to know Chinese language and culture at Primary School Kolezija. Our Chinese volunteers, Ma Xing and Zhang Hang held a presentation about Chinese language and culture, a Beijing opera mask workshop and a calligraphy workshop. During the workshops, the students expressed great interest in Chinese culture and China. A draw for the most beautiful Beijing opera mask contest followed, and the winner of the contest won a small practical prize.
Apart from Confucius Institute Ljubljana, also representatives of the Faculty of Arts, the Ethnographic Museum Ljubljana and other experts in Chinese culture, were present at this event. The workshops were followed by the opening of the Chinese paper dragon exhibition, which was donated to the Ethnographic museum by Mr Milan Kovač.
