Guest lecturer Lilija Vilkancienė
The Academic Unit for Languages at the SEBLU hosted senior lecturer Lilija Vilkancienė of the ISM University of Management and Economics from Vilnius, Lithuania. On 15 and 18 October 2019, she led workshops on Academic writing for students of English for Business and Economics 2 VPŠ and UPEŠ (lecturers: Alenka Umek, MA, and Ženja Kansky-Rožman, MA). Workshop topics included: characteristics of academic writing genre; objectives and types of articles; style, structure and language of research articles. Special attention was paid to citing from sources and avoiding plagiarism. Ms. Vilkancienė ended her workshop with a brief presentation of the ISM University of Management and Economics and Lithuania.
