EMTM students won the first place in the 26th Economia Student Competition

We are happy to congratulate EMTM students Giulia Caruso, Madelaine Macassa Jamieson, Natasha Nana Yaa Amponsah and Georgia Chartofylaka, who won the first place in the 26th Economia Student Competition, with the paper “Tackling Overcrowding through Gamification” (with the topic “Tourism: Destination Greece”).
With the submission of more than 200 papers and the participation of 27 different Greek and international academic institutions, they managed to win the “group work” award.
Submissions were evaluated by the Evaluation Committee, which consists of:
- Maria Lekakou, Professor, Department of Shipping and Business Services, University of the Aegean
- Agapi Sbokou, CEO of Phāea Resorts
- Dimitris Fragakis, Secretary-General of the Greek National Tourism Organisation
- Alexandros Vasilikos, President of the Hotel Chamber of Greece &
- Antonis D. Papagiannidis, General Manager of the Economia Group, who held the role of the special adviser in the evaluation process.
Congratulations to all four students for their amazing achievement!
