Business Hive 2023

The last weekend in March, School of Economics and Business turned into a beehive.

Management Group Association organized the 12th edition of the international student competition Business Hive. For 72 hours, the faculty was occupied by 160 students from various fields, united by the desire for new experiences and to solve business challenges.

At the welcome ceremony on Friday, the dean of SEB LU, Metka Tekavčič, PhD welcomed companies and wished the students luck in solving the challenges.

During the welcome ceremony, Assistant Professor at the SEB LU, Blaž Zupan, PhD, shared tips and tricks of design thinking with the students and on Saturday, Nina Dremelj, president of Business Angels Slovenia, gave her expertise and insights for an effective pitching presentation.

Business challenges were presented by 4 companies – Atlantic Grupa, Generali, Kearney and Novartis in Slovenia. After a creative weekend full of new experiences, connections and fun activities, the teams presented innovative and creative solutions to the company representatives and impressed them with structured and well-prepared presentations. The best teams were awarded a letter of reference and a financial prize of €1,000.

Business Hive 2023 offered the students an excellent experience, which brought them opportunities to connect with companies and valuable experience, knowledge and memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
