EMTM program excursion to Postojna Cave

On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the students of the EMTM joint master’s program, generation 2023-25, in the framework of the course Sustainomics and Tourism, led by Prof. Dr Tanja Mihalič, went on a study excursion to Postojna Cave.

They were received by Kaja Batagelj, representative of the company Postojnska jama d.d. The presentation began with a tour of the cave. The famous yellow train took the students to the world of the karst underground, where they saw part of the tourist offer. The experience was especially interesting for foreigners who had never known such caves before.

After the tour, Mrs Batagelj presented the company, then there were talks about sustainability, the concession and the cave itself. The students finished the excursion full of new knowledge and were under the impression of the biggest Slovenian tourist attraction.
