New group of exchange students already at UL SEB

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the School of Economics and Business welcomed a new group of exchange students who will spend the winter semester 2024/25 with us. This semester we are hosting 196 students from 29 countries and 101 partner institutions. In the introductory speech, the Dean Prof. Dr. Tomaž Turk welcomed the students and wished them a successful start to their studies at UL SEB. Then we introduced them to UL SEB, Ljubljana and Slovenia. This was followed by a lecture on Slovenian culture and habits by Ženja Kansky Rožman. At the end of the first orientation day, we organised a 90-minute Slovenian language workshop in which students learned a couple of Slovenian expressions that will be useful to them in their daily communication.

Friday’s programme began with a presentation of the Central Economic Library, followed by a presentation of the study and extracurricular activities by the student organisation of SEB. Our SEBuddies were on hand to answer the new students’ questions and got to know them even better.
