UL SEB is hosting the European Ethics Bowl for the third year in a row

We invite you to join us on Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10 2024 at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business for the fifth edition of the international student competition European Ethics Bowl. The weekend competition will cover the semi-final as well as the final round.  At the competition, students from ten European universities will come together to discuss complex ethical dilemmas in the business environment. This year’s overall theme is “Ethics and Artificial Intelligence”!

During the competition, students will be discussing special case studies that include current ethical dilemmas related to how companies face the introduction of AI into their environment, changes in the company’s operation and the use of AI in companies. Each group, consisting of three students, will present their perspectives on the dilemmas, followed by debates and questions by the judges. Debates will be evaluated by a judging panel composed of international and Slovenian representatives from the world of academia and practice.

Semi-final debates will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:30 and 16:20 in classrooms P109, P110, P111, P120, and P118. The final 4 teams will go head-to-head on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 11:00 in classrooms P118 and P120. The grand finale will be held on Sunday at 15:50 in Lila Hall.

In addition to the team from the University of Ljubljana, nine other student teams are participating in the competition, representing universities from Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, France, Hungary, Luxembourg, Germany, Portugal and Serbia.
