Visit by Prof. Hutagaol-Martowidjojo

Prof. Yanthi Hutagaol-Martowidjojo from the Bina Nusantara University from Jakarta, Indonesia, again visited the FELU. Prof. Hutagaol-Martowidjojo has established research cooperation with Prof. Aljoša Valentinčič to jointly explore the capital market in the largest Muslim country in the world – Indonesia.

For the sake of comparison, in terms of the market capitalisation of shares it is 75-times bigger than the Slovenian capital market, while its population is 117-times bigger than Slovenia’s, i.e. 235 million. Based on their previous collaboration, these two academics have already published two scientific articles in journals with an SSCI impact factor, whereas the third one is currently being written. In the latter, they are studying what determines the quality of financial statements in the Indonesian capital market.
