We are honoured to host prof. dr. Jürgen von Hagen from University of Bonn at International Full Time Master Programme in Business Administration (IMB) at Business Environment course this week. Professor von Hagen will also be the speaker at the Portorož Business Conference.
Here is his short Biography:
Jürgen von Hagen earned his PhD in economics at the University of Bonn in 1985. He taught economics at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, 1987-92, the University of Mannheim, 1992-96, and is currently professor of economics at the University of Bonn, where he directed the economics department of the Center for European Integration Studies until 2005. First winner of the Gossen Prize of the German Economics Association, Jürgen von Hagen is a research fellow of CEPR,and Bruegel, a member of the Council of the German Economic Association and the Academic Advisory Council of the German Federal Ministry of Economics, and a former member of the Council of the European Economic Association and the French National Economic Committee.
Professor von Hagen’s publications include numerous articles on monetary, international, and public economics in leading international academic journals, contributions to other journals and books, and 30 published or edited monographs. He has been a consultant to the IMF, the European Commission, the Federal Reserve Board, the European Central Bank, the Interamerican Development Bank, and the World Bank, and numerous governments in and outside Europe.
