From 6–8 May 2014, the Academic Unit for Languages for Business and Economics hosted Violeta Aušvicaitė, Senior Assistant Professor of Business English at the ISM University of Management and Economics in Vilnius, Lithuania. She led workshops for students of English for Business and Economics 1 (Lecturers: Alenka Umek, MA and Ženja Kansky Rožman, MA). The workshops focused on the case study entitled: “Corporate social responsibility at Kraft Foods Lietuva: to be or not to be responsible” that is based on her ten-year management and business experience at Kraft Food in Lithuania. Apart from the case, she gave a compelling presentation of Lithuania, its economy, politics, history, culture and language. Students found the workshops thoroughly enjoyable and actively participated in discussion. Lecturers from the Academic Unit for Languages took this opportunity to introduce the FELU and exchange professional experience as regards language teaching and research.
