It is our great pleasure to host professor of business ethics at the Guido Palazzo at the International Full Time Master Programme in Business Administration (IMB).
Guido Palazzo teaches master students at the Universities of Lausanne, Lugano and Geneva, MBA students at the Universities of Lausanne, Fribourg, Nottingham, Beijing Institute of Technology, and ETH Lausanne and executives of leading German, Swiss, French and Austrian corporations in the areas of business ethics and CSR. Guido Palazzo is a visiting professor at the Centre for Corporate Citizenship at the University of Nottingham and a visiting fellow of the Centre for Corporate Reputation at the Said Business School in Oxford. He has been responsible for the ethics programme at the Corporate University of Volkswagen in Germany.
He has two main research interests, a) globalization and corporate responsibility and b) ethical and unethical decision making in corporations. His work is published in world-leading management journals and he has been invited to present his research at various European universities such as IESE/Barcelona, ESMT/Berlin, Erasmus/Rotterdam, INSEAD/Fontainebleau, Pompeu Fabra/Barcelona, Hanken/Helsinki and Tilburg University. He is associate editor of the Business Ethics Quarterly and the European Management Review and sits on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies and Business and Society. He was shortlisted for the prestigious Carol Dexter Best International Paper Award 2005 at the Academy of Management conference in Honolulu. In 2008 he won the Max-Weber Award for Business Ethics of the German Industry Association.
Guido Palazzo consults and trains business ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at companies such as Siemens, BNP Paribas, Volkswagen, HP, Daimler, Baloise, Erste Bank Group, and Barilla, and works with NGOs such as Tischlein Deckdich, Fair Labor Association and SOS Child Village. He has worked with various UN organizations such as the WHO, UNTAD and UNDP.
