Guest Lecture of Mr Christof Droste on Controlling – Innovation – Continuous Improvement

Faculty of Economics University of Ljubljana was hosting on Wednesday, 19. 12. 2012 at Management Course under the leadership of Full Professor Vlado Dimovski, PhD and Assistant Professor Sandra Penger, PhD, esteemed Manager of the Year 2011 – Mr Christof Droste who presented to our international students the importance of controlling function for managing a company. His Lecture was titled: Controlling – Innovation  – Continuous Improvement.

 

Mr Christof Droste emphasized the understanding of internal and external customers of the company through research and development activities, followed by service and product innovation. Specially highlighting that everything in the company needs to be done in line with sustainability at the core of »thinking out of the box«. According to his expericences, controlling does not mean policing – micromanaging but steering the company by setting the right strategies, clear defined targets and on time analysis of target deviations that lead to right management decision for target achievement. Mr Droste presented also the quality department in Hella Saturnus Slovenija, d.o.o., its main functions and its Datawarehouse.
