Conference IATE 2013

During the 1 and 4 July we hosted a conference IATE 2013 (International Association for Tourism Economics). More than 120 participants from around the world had a chance to listen to presentations and discussions.

On first day, Monday 1 July we opened the conference. Gathered welcomed Dean of Faculty of Economics, Professor. Dr.. Dušan Mramor, dr. Larrry Dwayer President of IATA and prof. Dr.. Tanja Mihalic, Program Manager at the conference. Throughout the whole week we held sessions where participants presented their papers. We visited Ljubljana Castle on Wednesday 3. In July we went to Bled, where we visited Bled Island and Castle. The evening was concluded with a gala dinner at the Hotel Compass. The conference ends on Thursday, 4 July.

According to the program manager, prof. dr. Tanja Mihalič, the conference was very successful both professionally and in terms of networking and maintaining contacts between members of IATE, who share the interest in the economics of tourism.
