Diversity management provides us with the ability to grasp the environmental component of managing in foreign countries and also managing different people, different cultural backgrounds and different capitals. Mrs Danijela Voljč, MSc, discussed within the Management class on Wednesday, 15th Octobre 2014 her role as the Head of International Relations Office at FELU and the manager of Confucius Institute Ljubljana. Firstly, she shared with the students her view on the internalization of business education and then moved on to the reasons for its importance. Secondly, she presented the framework of the global mindset that is structured in three main categories: (1) intellectual capital, (2) psychological capital and (3) social capital.
As Confucius Institute Ljubljana is a sponsor of the Management contest within the Management course Mrs Voljč also showed the prize the student of the best Personal Research Reflection Paper 4 will receive in January 2015. One of the main messages of Mrs Voljč was the invitation to our students to proactively gain an in-depth understanding of different cultures – inside and outside the organization.
Full professor Vlado Dimovski, PhD, associate professor Sandra Penger, PhD and assistant Judita Peterlin, PhD, sincerely thank Mrs Voljč for sharing her extensive life and professional experiences also with our international class and wish her many successful future endeavours filled with intellectual, psychological and social capital.
