On Wednesday, October 22 we hosted FELU Discussions about Tourism on the topic “Sustainable Tourism Development: Necessity for Changing Standard Practice” lectured by prof. Larry Dwyer (Professor of Tourism School of  Marketing, Australian School of Business and President of International Academy for  the Study of Tourism). Despite the apparent agreement of necessity, of sustainable development in tourism, tourist activity operates on old business models. It is urgent, that every participle in tourist development recaps the responsibility for sustainable development – who has to replace present industrial mentality of mass tourism. Prof. Dwyer is a contractual associate of Faculty of Economics and a host professor.
