Educational excursion to Bled
On 18th November an educational excursion to Bled was organized for the Environmental economics in tourism course, held by Prof. Tanja Mihalič. Students listened to the lecture about the development of tourism in Bled by the director of Tourism Bled, Ms. Eva Štravs Podlogar. She discussed sustainability principles and actions Bled is taking to improve visitor, as well as local resident satisfaction. The second part of the lecture was held by Mr. Martin Šolar, a representative from Triglav national park. He explained the measures they are taking to protect the park, while simultaneously providing a pleasurable and educational experience to visitors. After the lectures and the discussion, students visited the permanent exhibition at the “Triglavska roža” information centre.
