The Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, was successfully reaccredited for the next five-year period by the renowned international association AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

In February, the evaluators, reputable professors and deans of schools in the area of internationalisation as well as experts on quality assurance: Dr. Peter Lindstrom (St. Gallen University, Switzerland; presiding), Prof. Dr. Erdal Erel (Dean of Bilkent University, Turkey; member) and Prof. Dr. Robert F. Scherer (Dean of the College of Business, University of Dallas, USA; member), evaluated the FELU’s achievement of quality standards.

The AACSB accreditation is based on the commitment to high quality and continuous progress in business education. The accreditation is underpinned by demanding and comprehensive accreditation criteria in the fields of strategic school management, activities and engagement of all stakeholders (teachers, students, professional staff and external stakeholders), education contents and teaching methods in accordance with the high standards of researchers.

In their report, the evaluators stated that the FELU has achieved great progress in the last five years and has proven the highest quality of its operations with its work. They were particularly impressed with the commitment of all employees to pursuing the FELU’s mission.

During their visit, the evaluators met the management of the Faculty, the teachers, expert staff, students, graduates and representatives of the business sector. They concluded their evaluation session with a visit to the management of the University of Ljubljana.
