»Iran is a southwest Asian country of mountains and deserts. Eastern Iran is dominated by a high plateau, with large salt flats and vast sand deserts. The plateau is surrounded by even higher mountains, including the Zagros to the west and the Alborz to the north. Farming and settlement are largely concentrated in the narrow plains or valleys in the west or north, where there is more rainfall. Iran’s huge oil reserves lie in the southwest, along the Persian Gulf. With an area of 1,648,000 square kilometers (636,000 sq. mi), Iran ranks eighteenth in size among the countries of the world and shares borders with Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The Caspian coastline on the North of Iran is extended as long as 650 kilometers. The Southern coastline of Iran, including The Persian Gulf and Oman Sea, is approximately 1770 kilometers.Iran is one of the few countries that have all four distinguished seasons. And at any time of the year, in each section of the country, you can enjoy one of the four seasons. Iran’s variety in terms of temperature, humidity and rainfall differs from place to place and season to season. Length of the seasons differs in different regions.«
Photographer vision:
»As a mountaineer and traveler I discovered an extensive part of my country through seven years of travelling. I believe in celebrating the beauty and diversity of nature through photography and that’s why I decided to become a photographer. After having spent some time in Europe I figured out that all my friends especially my Western friends are awed by the beauty and diversity of my country and changed their perception of Iran as a DESERT!! Now they keep asking me about the nature and culture of my country. Since my arrival in Europe I felt the burning need to show the beauty of my country, and to change the perception of Europeans. I believe I can achieve this best through my passion for photography. I feel that it is my duty as Iranian and future Master graduate in tourism to display my beautiful country of Iran. Iran is vast and there are so many natural attractions and so it’s not possible to exhibit all of them at the same time, therefore I focused mostly on the north of Iran, but I wish to invite you to the other parts of Iran in future exhibitions or maybe even visiting these destinations in Iran!«
