A guest for the Financial and Cost Accounting course

In the Financial and Cost Accounting course in Year 3 of undergraduate study – Accounting study field (UPEŠ and VPŠ), which is led by Aleksander Igličar, MSc, a guest from the business world came to deliver a lecture on Tuesday, 17 April 2018; namely, Ana Pogačnik, Director of the Infinia accounting company.

In her lecture entitled Monitoring costs in the Iskra Mehanizmi production company, she presented how direct and indirect product costs are monitored in the said company to which Infinia provides comprehensive accounting services. She talked about monitoring the direct costs of material, labour and services in terms of products as well as indirect production and non-production costs from the bookkeeping point of view as well as in terms of cost planning and management (controlling).

Iskra Mehanizmi from Lipnica pri Kropi is the development supplier of individual products for Phillips, specific parts for the automotive industry and other electrical and mechanical products. At the beginning of her lecture, Ms Pogačnik also showed an interesting video presenting the company’s operations.
