On Thursday 14 June 2018, the FELU opened its doors to future students of master’s studies. On Information Day, the students received information about the course of the study and study programmes at the master’s level and were acquainted in detail with the FELU’s work methods, values, achievements and mission.
On the occasion, Dean of the FELU Prof. Dr. Metka Tekavčič emphasised that study at the FELU means study at an renowned international economics and business school that, apart from using state-of-the-art technologies, fosters and promotes direct contacts between students, professors and professional staff. She also emphasised the value of the FELU diploma among employers and the many excellent possibilities for an international exchange at the FELU’s partner institutions in Europe and abroad.
A speech was also delivered by visiting lecturer Assist. Prof. Dr. Vatroslav Škare (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics, Croatia), who has been lecturing at the FELU Summer School for several years. This year, he will be a guest lecturer in the IBM programme for the first time, namely in the Digital Marketing course. He described his cooperation with the FELU as a wonderful experience and the FELU as an institution that he is pleased to return to every so often.
The President of the FELU Student Council Rok Smrekar also took the microphone and shared with the students what it means to be a FELU student. This was followed by an enjoyable conversation with two master’s students Lea Kopina (Marketing) and Getoar Agushi (International Business) as well as the FELU graduate Simon Meglič, MSc (founder and director of the ePrvak company). All three are enthusiastic about the FELU and were more than pleased to recommend it to those attending Information Day.
In the final part, the Head of the Student Affairs Office Mateja Škulj presented information about the enrolment procedure and registration for the master’s study programmes.
After the introductory part, students could stop in a ‘photo corner’ to take photos of themselves holding signs that displayed the FELU’s values. Then they went into different lecture rooms where individual programmes were presented to them in greater detail.
