Three days of genuine business/pleasure activities at Kope

On 26 to 28 October, the new academic year also brought the traditional Business Weekend EF, this year held in Kope. Like in past years, participants were again able to upgrade their knowledge and develop new acquaintances through lectures, workshops and different types of socialising. The event was formally opened by a guest of the FELU, Prof. Dr Maks Tajnikar. This was followed by a lecture on personal integrity given by Prof. Dr Mitja Kovač and lectures on useful tricks when preparing a CV or taking a job interview, delivered by Nina Simić, MSc.

‘Povezani EF’ commented on the organisation of this year’s event: “The idea of the Business Weekend is to organise a social & educational weekend for FELU students that offers a high-quality programme consisting of lectures, workshops and different types of socialising. This year, student interest in the event was enormous, the atmosphere at Kope was awesome, the feedback given by the participants at the end was very positive, all of which is the greatest reward for us and at the same time encourages us for the future. Later in the year, we will again organise different extracurricular events in the areas of education, culture and sports: excursions, lectures, a charity week, a film evening, thematic days, evening get-togethers and much more”.

The participants all shared the opinion they had had a great time, met many new friends and spent the weekend in the best possible way. They emphasised the fact the programmes not only focussed on obligatory lectures, but also on socialising and meeting new people. “I really learned a lot from the lectures and I especially liked the workshop where we discussed how to correctly prepare a CV. I am sure this will be of great benefit to me in the future”, said one participant.

As seen above, it is highly recommended especially for first-year students to engage already at the start of their studies in the wide range of activities offered by the FELU as well as throughout their studies to experience and become familiar with all facets of the business world. New acquaintances, new friends and new knowledge thus epitomise the Business Weekend, so it is little wonder that every year large numbers of students register for the event. We are all excited and looking forward to the next extracurricular events.
