On Thursday, 27 June, the School of Economics and Business organised an Information Day for the International Business Academy (IBA) programme and the graduate Business and Organisation programme in Skopje. The event was organised for students who have just finished their undergraduate studies and for anyone who has already started to develop their business career.

The Dean, Prof. Dr. Metka Tekavčič, addressed the participants via a video-call and informed them of the changed name of the school in English, which is now called the School of Economics and Business, emphasised the school’s high-ranking international position, its prestigious accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA), its ranking among the TOP 100 European business schools in 2018 on the Financial Times’ ranking and the inclusion of the programme ”International Master in Business and Organisation” (IMB), which is similar to the programme in Skopje, among the best Master-level programmes in the world.

Afterwards, the regional study coordinators Melita Sekulovska and Zdenko Rojec from the Department for Activities in SE European Markets presented details of the programme and provided other information.

Prof. Dr. Miha Škerlavaj then delivered a lecture and invited discussion with respect to the article “What can we learn from Marvel about continuous innovation?”, recently published in the prestigious magazine Harvard Business Review.

In the second part of the event, our Master diploma holder Hristina Lozanovska then gave a lecture on the topic “Are you a leader that you would follow?”. In the presentation, she described her own leadership experience and revealed several examples of how to develop leadership.

Our members of Alumni Macedonia also attended the event as well as three students of the twelfth generation 2018/2019, who pointed out the quality of the programme in Skopje.

The event took place in the Centre for Design and Innovation Skopje.
