According to the latest edition of the Eduniversal Ranking, which evaluates individual postgraduate programmes across the world in 30 fields of study, the MBA programme of the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana is ranked third in Central and Eastern Europe (just after the programme from St. Petersburg and the MBA programme from Warsaw).

Apart from being ranked in the top three programmes in Central and Eastern Europe, this year our programme was reaccredited by the Association of MBAs with the AMBA accreditation, namely the highest quality standard in postgraduate business education for which only the best postgraduate management programmes are eligible (a mere 2% of such programmes in the entire world).

Through its accreditation process, AMBA encourages schools to develop and ensure the highest education standards in the field of management. AMBA’s tough evaluation criteria guarantee the AMBA accreditation is only given to programmes meeting the highest standards.

The AMBA accreditation adds to the international credibility and reputation of business schools. It ensures students taking AMBA-accredited programmes that they are enrolled in the best business education that will considerably impact their future business career, while enabling graduates to make connections with individuals from the leading MBA programmes in the world. The AMBA accreditation opens the door to new opportunities in the international market for both the school and its graduates.

The SEB LU MBA in Ljubljana was granted the AMBA accreditation for a period of 5 years, which is the longest period a programme may be awarded a certificate of excellence. According to AMBA, the SEB LU MBA programme excels in the area of students’ progress after they complete the programme, seen in their career advancement (higher job positions, greater salary etc.). It also boasts a selection of useful high-quality content for students to listen to and an exceptional platform for developing the leadership potential of every individual, further supported by neuro-testing and personal coaching during the entire programme period.

“Our responsibility is to expand students’ horizons with valuable knowledge and build competencies for socially responsible management to master business and economic challenges. AMBA reaccreditation for the next 5 years acknowledges the high quality and global competitiveness of our MBA programme. This reaccreditation confirms we provide valuable knowledge for successful managers of the future and thereby guarantee our MBA graduates a successful future career.”

Prof. Dr Metka Tekavčič, Dean of the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana

“AMBA reaccreditation is recognition that we have really been investing the right things in developing both the programme as well as our candidates. Yet it also means that the programme continues to rank among the leading programmes of its kind in the region and reveals quality in all areas of its performance. We will continue to pursue the highest goals in the future and always put the individual in the forefront, while building up their economic and business knowledge, and intensively developing their leadership potential.”

Prof. Dr Andreja Cirman, Programme Director of SEB LU MBA

“For me, the decision to enrol in the SEB LU MBA programme was not difficult since I wanted to upgrade my knowledge and experience in the field of law with new knowledge that relates to top management. The highly practical approach, the participants’ engagement in discussions, the excellent local and foreign lecturers as well as new acquaintances and friendships will always stay in my memory, along with the new knowledge gained in the areas of economics and management. I warmly recommend it to everyone, especially those who see themselves in managerial positions!”
