Dear students,

The current academic year has come to an end and we are all awaiting the start of the new one with great expectation. As noted several times, it will be challenging for every one of us and for our entire academic community. The School of Economics and Business is striving to ensure an environment that is safe for study and work for all of our students and employees and, so as to avoid the spread of infection with the COVID-19 virus, we are consistently following the instructions/recommendations of the University of Ljubljana, the National Institute of Public Health, and other competent authorities which provide expert advice regarding work in the present circumstances.

We wish to inform that, according to the University of Ljubljana’s recommendations, the SEB LU Senate has formally decided that the study process during the winter semester (assuming the epidemiological picture remains similar to today) will proceed as follows:

-       The teaching process for full-time study for the 1st year of the professional (VPŠ) and 1st year of the university (UPEŠ) study programmes (both Slovenian and English versions) will be conducted partly online (lectures) and partly in lecture rooms (seminars and/or practical sessions).

-       The teaching process for full-time study for the 2nd and 3rd years of the professional (VPŠ) and university (UPEŠ) as well as master’s study programmes will be conducted entirely online.

-       The teaching process for part-time study will be conducted entirely online.

-       Doctoral studies will be conducted partly in lecture rooms, partly online.

We will update you about the timetables and other activities being prepared for you via our school communication channels and therefore please regularly check both the SEB LU’s notifications and your e-mail.

We trust that you will continue to successfully avoid the threat of infection in these last days prior to the semester starting so as to allow us to meet each other soon and together embark on the new academic year with optimism.

Prof. Dr. Metka Tekavčič, Dean
