The Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana was elected Chairman of the Steering Committee of the ACE

The Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana, Prof. Dr. Metka Tekavčič, was elected Chairman of the Steering Committee of the ACE (Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools) at its general assembly. This means the SEB LU is acting as the chair and secretariat of this international alliance for the next 2 years. The ACE currently brings together business-economics schools from nine Chinese and seven European universities holding international accreditations in the field of business education. Besides the SEB LU, members include: ESSCA School of Management (France), University of Antwerp (Belgium), University of Gothenburg (Sweden), Erasmus University (the Netherlands), MIP Politecnico di Milano (Italy), University of Leeds (GB), Beijing Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Shanghai University of Finance & Economics, Xiamen University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan).

 

The key goals of ACE are to establish joint scientific and research projects and conferences, joint study and education programmes, professor and student exchanges, and to develop a joint international skill module for business school graduates. In recent times, the ACE has been operating under the patronage of the European EFMD, a foundation which is an accreditation body for economics and business schools as well as study programmes in Europe and around the world. In its term of office that has just commenced, the SEB LU will strive to join in the One Belt One Road Initiative and the activities of the China–CEE (17+1) projects.
