Central Economics Library invites you to Fitch Connect collection presentation on 28 October, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Fitch Connect is an innovative, robust and comprehensive credit analytics platform designed to service the individual data consumption models of credit risk professionals.
The collection contains financial data for more than 33,000 global banks and around 11,500 insurers from more than 120 countries and the history of data is up to 30 years.
The lecture will be dedicated to learn about the functionality of the Web and Excel add-in interfaces and to explore the new interactive way to support and inform your sovereign scenario analysis, giving you a holistic view of both credit and macroeconomic risk:
- Fitch Ratings Sovereign Rating Model: This proprietary model accesses the most recent economic and fundamental data from Fitch Solutions, allowing you to assess the credit health of a given sovereign in real time. Excel based and interactive, it allows you to also input your own forecast assumptions across the variables, to create additional scenarios and test hypotheses.
- Fitch Solutions Country Risk Indices: Using proprietary forecasts for key macroeconomic variables, as well as expert judgements, the Index provides a composite score based on long- and short- term political and economic risk, and operational risk. It tracks individual risk metrics in over 200 markets, quantifying often difficult-to-measure risks.
The Country Risk Index perfectly complements the Sovereign Rating Model by providing independent, robust macroeconomic data that can enhance your understanding of sovereign risk.
