At the Eduniversal World Convention, which was taking place on a virtual campus between 10 and 13 November 2020, the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana was proclaimed as one of the best schools within the region and simultaneously given visibility among the best global business schools on their website: https://www.eduniversal-ranking.com/awards.html.

The Eduniversal international ranking features 1,000 of the world’s top schools for business and economics from 154 countries. Schools are awarded Palms of Excellence, with 5 Palms of Excellence signifying the best global schools. Every school’s quality profile is assessed based on votes of the deans of all the 1,000 business schools. SEB LU was awarded 5 Palms of Excellence this year for the third consecutive time.

Eduniversal Agency ranking compiles deans’ votes and classifies schools according to their international impact in a given geographical area. These include: Africa, Central Asia, Eurasia and Middle East, Far East, Latin America, Oceania, North America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe. Slovenia belongs to the region of Eastern Europe which includes the following countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Estonia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.

SEB LU’s third place this year is shared with our partner school, the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Management, from Poland. Our partners, the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University (Russia), and Corvinus University of Budapest, Corvinus Business School (Hungary), share the second place. This year, the first place in the Eastern European region is held by the Prague University of Economics and Business (Czech Republic).

At the plenary session on Thursday, 12 November 2020, the Dean of SEB LU, Prof. Metka Tekavčič, addressed the audience discussing how we follow and measure our school’s societal impact.
