NOTICE SEPTEMBER 28, 2021

In order to provide students with uninterrupted access to direct study process in the premises of the School and safe conduct of the study process in accordance with the accredited study programmes, and to reduce the risk of infection and spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the pedagogical process at the School of Economics and Business (SEB LU) will be adapted to current conditions in the winter semester 2021/2022. In case of additions or changes to the instructions, we will inform you in due time.

In the winter semester 2021/22, the study process of full-time study will be carried out live at the SEB LU with a live transmission to the online environment.

All students, with the exception of first-year undergraduate students, will begin the study process according to the schedule on Monday, 4 October 2021.

It is important that only healthy students come to the School. Also, proper use of masks, hand and cough hygiene is required. Wearing masks is mandatory in both School common areas and lecture halls throughout the duration of lectures and tutorials, including breaks. Failure to comply with the requirement to wear masks will result in a warning from the lecturer to the student. If the condition is still not fulfilled despite the warning, the pedagogical process may be suspended.

When to the School?

Students who are enrolled for the first time in a study year, are healthy, and meet the recovered, vaccinated and tested (RVT) requirements (including self-testing) are expected to attend live lectures and tutorials. Students attend lectures and tutorials in groups, into which you will be placed according to the timetable. It is not possible to change groups. If you are unable to attend the lectures or tutorials in your group due to the limited number of places, you can follow them online.

Considering the large number of students and limited number of seats in the School, and strictly following NIJZ (National Institute of Public Health) instructions (maintaining recommended interpersonal distance of 1.5-2m, proper use of masks, hand and cough hygiene, cleaning / disinfection and effective ventilation), students should pre-register through the Canvas platform of an individual course for EVERY lecture and EVERY seminar/practice class that you will attend at the School. This will ensure a safe study environment for all participants.

In case of relaxation measures and better epidemiological situation, the availability of live studies will increase.

How do I register on the Canvas platform for physical attendance in the lecture hall?

You should register your attendance for each lecture and tutorial separately on the Canvas platform in the Courses/People/Groups section. Registration for each lecture and tutorial opens one week before the event and closes at 12 p.m. on the day before the event. (During the first week of study, the time for registration is shorter. For the first day of lectures and seminars/practice classes, registrations are open until noon on Sunday, 3 October 2021).

You can only register in groups for which you are scheduled in alphabetical order.

A link to the online sessions of each lecture and tutorial will be posted on Canvas (ZOOM link).

Registration before entering the lecture hall – QR code

You will enter the lecture halls according to the entry protocol, i.e. you must register your attendance at lectures and seminars/practice classes by scanning the lecture hall’s QR code, which is displayed on the lecture hall’s door and on tables in some lecture halls. Please do not group together at the School premises and keep a distance of 1.5m. This is the only way we can ensure a safe study environment and proper notification in case of possible infection.

When and who is online?

The live broadcast of the pedagogical process is used by students who cannot attend live lectures due to health reasons, quarantine or lack of space. Foreign students can follow the live broadcast of the pedagogical process until their arrival in Slovenia.

It will only be possible to watch lectures or seminars/practice classes without the active participation of students watching the pedagogical process remotely.

Entry to the School and verification of RVT conditions

Access to the School is available to all students (for the purpose of verifying RVT conditions including self-testing) between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the following entrances:

  • at the entrance to the Large and Small Halls (from the direction of Dunajska cesta),
  • at the entrance to the School Atrium at the Central Economics Library (from the direction of Vojkova cesta),
  • at the entrance to the atrium at the bicycle shed (from the direction of Dunajska cesta).

Students cannot enter through the main entrance of the Dean’s Office (from the direction of Gosarjeva ulica).

You can see the scheme of entrances here.

At the SEB LU we are obliged to check the fulfilment of RVT conditions for entering the School premises. Therefore, we recommend all students to come to the School in time before the beginning of the pedagogical process, so that after the RVT verification you can participate in lectures and seminars/practice classes in time.

While the current measures are in effect, students may enter the School and participate in the live pedagogical process if they have:

  1. a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours after swab collection, or a negative Antigen Rapid Test (ART) result no older than 48 hours after swab collection – validation of the HAG and PCR test for study purposes will also be considered for 7 days;

  3. the completed REGISTRATION SHEET for the current week. For students, testing with the ART self-test kits is also considered a test condition, with the self-testing being administered once a week at the School’s premises. A negative result will be noted on the REGISTRATION SHEET you receive when you come to the School for self-testing.

Self-testing

The ART self-test is valid only for the pedagogical process at the School. With the completed self-test, students will not have access to the School’s restaurant and buffet. In the gastronomic facilities of the School, the conditions of points 1 to 6 apply.

Students may pick up self-test kits at pharmacies with a Health Insurance Card (foreign students with personal ID and certificate of registration). Self-testing is possible at the School of Economics and the test is valid for one week.

Self-testing at the School is only available at certain times, namely on Sundays between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Access for students who wish to take a self-test is only possible at a given time at the main entrance (from the direction of Gosarjeva ulica), where you will be directed to the self-testing room.

At the self-testing you will receive a REGISTRATION sheet on which the result of the self-test will be noted.

Mid-terms and exams

In the winter semester 2021/2022, the mid-terms and exams will take place live at the School.

Part-time study

Part-time study involves a combined delivery of the pedagogical process, which means that part of the pedagogical process is delivered live and part is delivered online, depending on the commitments for an individual course. The mode of delivery of an individual course will be indicated on the timetable and / or website of the course in Canvas.
