March 1, 2022 - NOTICE ABOUT FURTHER IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STUDY PROCESS

Dear students,

We are very pleased to inform you that the Senate of SEB LU adopted a decision on the lifting of the temporary measures for the prevention and control of infectious disease Covid-19 in the regular study process at SEB LU.

For students, this means that lectures, seminars and tutorials at the School can be attended by all students, and that prior registration through Canvas is no longer required. From and including 21 March 2022, all live streaming of lectures, seminars, and tutorials to the online environment will be eliminated. As of 21 March 2022, the decision of the SEB LU Senate No. XXVIII / 5-2 of 17 January 2022, regarding the compulsory attendance of one-third of the students in lectures, seminars and tutorials of each course live at the School will no longer be valid.

However, the following remains in force:

-          Mandatory wearing of masks in enclosed public spaces,

-          Hand disinfection and ventilation of the premises, and compliance with all other recommendations and instructions of the National Institute of Public Health related to the prevention of the spread of Covid-19.

It also remains the case that midterms and examinations in the summer semester of 2021/2022 will normally be held in person at the School.

February 10, 2022 – NOTICE ABOUT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STUDY PROCESS AT THE SEB LU IN THE SUMMER SEMESTER 2021/2022

In order to provide students with uninterrupted access to direct study process in the premises of the School and safe conduct of the study process in accordance with the accredited study programmes, and to reduce the risk of infection and spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the pedagogical process at the School of Economics and Business (SEB LU) will be adapted to current conditions in the summer semester 2021/2022. In case of additions or changes to the instructions, we will inform you in due time.

In the summer semester 2021/22, the study process of full-time study will be carried out live at the SEB LU with a live transmission to the online environment. If the epidemiological situation improves to the point where restrictive measures to prevent infections are no longer necessary, live transfers will be eliminated altogether and the live study process will be implemented.

Live broadcasting is not mandatory in courses where the size of the lecture room (at a reasonable distance from each other) allows all students to participate in the study process at the school. In contrast to the introduction of the study process in the winter semester and the reduction of the physical presence of students in the lecture rooms, the Senate of the SEB LU has decided that students must be present for at least one third of live lectures, seminars and exercises. The attendance requirement is controlled electronically for individual course – however, pre-registration for lectures, seminars and exercises is still considered necessary.

You should register your attendance for each lecture and exercises separately on the Canvas platform in the Courses/People/Groups section. Registration for each lecture and exercises opens one week before the event and closes at 12 p.m. on the day before the event. You can only register in groups for which you are scheduled in alphabetical order.

Mid-terms and exams

In the summer semester 2021/2022, the mid-terms and exams will take place live at the School.

IMPORTANT

It is important that only healthy students come to the School. Also, proper use of masks, hand and cough hygiene is required. Wearing masks is mandatory in both School common areas and lecture halls throughout the duration of lectures and tutorials, including breaks.

Entry to the School and verification of RVT conditions

Access to the School is available to all students (for the purpose of verifying RVT conditions including self-testing):

-          at the entrance to the Large and Small Halls (from the direction of Dunajska cesta, from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.),

-          at the entrance to the atrium at the bicycle shed (from the direction of Dunajska cesta, from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

After 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays it is possible to enter through the main entrance at the reception.

HAG testing

Students have the option of free HAG testing at SEB LU parking, Monday to Friday between 7.30 and 15.30.

Self testing

From the beginning of summer semester, 14 February 2022 up to and including 3 June 2022 self-testing will take place:

NOTICE ABOUT TESTING DURING THE EXAMINATION PERIOD – January 11

Dear students

Concern for the safety of the students is one of the most important concerns for us, so all measures will be taken to ensure that you come to the school only in good health during the examination period, which will take place between 17 January and 11 February 2022. In case of symptoms of illness or quarantine, do not come to the school and deregister from the exam. Based on the analysis of exam unregistrations, the school may take further action to ensure taking of the exams in the current academic year.

In order to take the exams, which are given on-site at the school, students must provide proof of a negative test. This applies to all, including those who have been vaccinated and those who are recovered.

The following is considered as proof of a negative test:

  • Certificate of the HAG test that is not older than 24 hours.
  • Certificate of PCR test, which is not older than 48 hours.
  • Record sheet of the self-test performed at the school on the day of the exam.

If the test is positive on the day of the exam, you will be allowed to deregister from the exam.

In order to avoid additional stress before writing the exam, we recommend that you get tested at HAG at different testing sites in Slovenia and come to the school with the appropriate certificate and do not waste time with self-tests before the exam.

Students who do not pass the HAG test have the opportunity to take the self-test at the school. It should be emphasized that if there is a large number of students who will be taking a self-test, students are responsible for completing the self-test in a timely manner; if you do not pass the self-test by the time the exam begins, you will not be able to take the exam.

The self-tests will be organized at the school every day from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm in lecture rooms P-125 and P-126; students must bring the self-tests themselves as we unfortunately cannot provide them at the school. Upon completion of the self-test, you will receive a record sheet to fill out and use to enter the lecture hall where you are scheduled to take the exam.

We believe that these measures will allow us to ensure a safe and undisturbed winter examination period, and most importantly, we want the entire summer semester to be spent at the school.

All the best, take care and good luck with your exams.
