Mihaela Gjorcheva, MSc – 30 Under 30 – Europe – Entertainment (2022) lister

Our student Mihaela Gjorcheva, MSc, is on the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 – Europe list. Every year the American business magazine Forbes releases its famous 30 Under 30 list unveiling the most promising game-changers and brightest entrepreneurs, leaders, activists, founders, and creators under the age of 30.

On the same list, you can find the members of the popular Italian band Måneskin, as well as the actress Simone Ashley, known for her role in one of the most-watched English-language television series on Netflix – Bridgerton.

Mihaela Gjorcheva is enrolled both in our Business and Organization master’s degree study program and our doctoral degree program in the field of Marketing.

WHAT GOT MIHAELA ON THE LIST

Mihaela Gjorcheva was listed due to her work as the founder and CEO of Kinoverzum – the only woman-owned, private cinema in North Macedonia, making both European and Hollywood movies more accessible for people in the region. Kinoverzum is part of the International Slavic University campus in Sveti Nikole, and is the only 3D university cinema in North Macedonia which operates every day.

Kinoverzum is one of the four cinemas in the country and has brought more than 210 movies and hosted more than 1,700 movie screenings since opening in 2019. The cinema has also hosted premieres, including the first Macedonian film on Netflix, ‘Sisterhood.’ Gjorcheva is also a brand manager at the International Slavic University. With its planned expansion for this year, Kinoverzum strives to become the first-ever Macedonian movie-theater chain, with the potential to grow even outside of the country.

2022 FORBES UNDER 30 SUMMIT IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN, USA

At the invitation of Forbes, Mihaela Gjorcheva, attended the 2022 Forbes Under 30 Summit in Detroit, Michigan, USA. The summit was held from October 2nd to October 5th, 2022 at the Detroit Opera House and all Forbes listers could attend.

Randall Lane the Chief Content Officer at Forbes and the Founder of Forbes 30 Under 30 opened the summit.

The summit featured a private concert headlined by Kygo (also a Forbes 30 Under 30 Lister), A-list speakers from Megan Thee Stallion (also a Forbes Under 30 lister) to Hailey Bieber, exclusive networking opportunities, a powerful day of community service and more.

Additionally, the list of speakers included successful businessmen, executives, and entrepreneurs such as John Zimmer (also a Forbes Under 30 lister) – the Cofounder & President of Lyft, Josh Silverman – the CEO of Etsy, Ashley Haynes-Gaspar – COO of Industry & Business Applications US at Microsoft, etc.

During the summit, salon dinners with representatives of several companies were also organized, and Mihaela Gjorcheva, attended a salon dinner with representatives from Microsoft and Forbes, where the importance of sustainability in business was discussed. Ashley Haynes-Gaspar – COO of Industry & Business Applications US at Microsoft, and Kristin Stoller – Deputy Editor, Founders at Forbes hosted the dinner.

The closing party of the summit was held at the Comerica Park baseball park in Detroit, and the event was hosted by Megan Thee Stallion.
