We invite you to join us for the international competition European Ethics Bowl on Saturday, November 12, 2022. This year, for the first time since the pilot project in 2020, the semi-finals of the EEB competition will be held live at the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana. The competition will start with the opening ceremony on Friday, November 11, while the debates will take place on Saturday.
The competition will be held in two rounds, with students facing a different ethical dilemma in each round. This time, the titles of the ethical dilemmas are “Are gender quotas really enabling gender equality?” and “Standardisation of non-financial reporting”. The first round of debates will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the second round will begin at 4 p.m. The debates will take place in classrooms P-111, P-118 and P-120.
In addition to the team from the University of Ljubljana, eight other student teams are participating in the competition, representing universities from Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Croatia, Luxembourg, Germany, Portugal and Serbia.
The semi-finals will be held as part of the International Fraud Awareness Week, which this year will be held from November 14 to 18.
The organisers would like to thank the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners – ACFE Slovenia and the companies TBA d.o.o., Henkel Slovenia and Adriatic Grupa for their support and sponsorship of the event.
All those who would like to listen to the debates are invited to join us this Saturday at the School of Economics and Business. Find out more about European Ethics Bowl here.
