The School of Economics and Business turns its Master’s Programme Information Day into a global journey of economic knowledge

On Tuesday, 25 April, the SEB LU in Ljubljana hosted an information day with a presentation of its renowned Master’s programmes in English. The meeting, held on the Zoom platform, offered a range of tempting study options i.e. courses: Bank and Financial Management, Economics, Business Informatics, Supply Chain and Logistics, International Business, Marketing, Money and Finance, Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Sciences, Sport Management and European Master in Tourism Management (EMTM).

The event kicked off with inspiring opening remarks by the incomparable Martina Sagir, BSc Pol Sc, Senior Expert in the Student Affairs Office: “We are simply a small country, but we are ready for the greatness that we can achieve together.” Participants then had access to a series of sessions, each tailored to its own programme. Among these sessions, Business Informatics attracted the most interest, impressing 17 out of 81 participants, almost 20% of the total attendance. The overwhelming response is testimony to the evolving zeitgeist and the need to keep up with the latest trends in the industry.

Students from all over the world attended, including from countries such as China, Mexico and India. This cosmopolitan mix underlines the reputation of the SEB LU as a melting pot of global culture and a hub of intellectual curiosity for future generations.

Those interested who were not able to attend this digital event can still respond to the call for applications – the deadline for submission is 30 June 2023. Although there is plenty of time, we must remember that “tempus fugit”.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the information day for Master’s programmes at the SEB LU in Ljubljana was a great success. The event not only presented the study opportunities available to students, but also served as a platform for networking between prospective students, distinguished staff and current students.
