The Alumni of the School of Economics and Business organised the Digital Marketing Academy

From 16 to 18 May and from 23 to 25 May, the SEB LU Alumni organised a first-class online Digital Marketing Academy, which hosted some of the greatest specialists from the world of digital marketing in Slovenia and abroad.
The Academy organised 6 modules offering a unique opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of digital marketing. At the same time, participants had the unique opportunity for one-on-one mentoring sessions with experts from Google Dublin. They were led by Lenart Celar, Google Ads Sales Manager, and Timi Celcer, Google Ads Account Manager.
The online academy participants had 6 training days and 18 hours of training in different marketing areas, all of which culminated in a triple-accredited certificate. Manca Debeljak, Project Manager at the Career Centre and SEB LU Alumni, told us: “In our eyes, it is very important to offer the best digital marketing training to students, the SEB LU Alumni members and the general public, which is why we decided to organise this academy and connect with experts. The fact that the academy was supported by training from Google experts is of course an added value that sets us apart from other academies.”
The training was offered to “full-time professionals” and “experts” who could deepen their knowledge with best practices through a package of 6 modules or only in specific areas. Among others, we had the opportunity to attend the module Brand Strategy, which was led by Prof. Maja Konečnik Ruzzier from the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana.
The modules were attended by more than 50 marketers and focused on SEO optimisation, marketing and copywriting, and online advertising on Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. Participants also listened to a module on Email Marketing and, last but not least, a module presenting the most important trends and forecasts in the field of digital marketing.
Among the advertising agencies, the Academy hosted Kokos Agency, bold.group, Renderspace, Pristop Media and SqualoMail. Among marketing experts, copywriter Tim Berce (Automatic Content) shared his experience.
In 2023, we can still look forward to the D-talk events of the SEB LU Alumni, where we will learn about the latest trends in digital marketing, especially in June and then again in autumn.
