Ljubljana Summer School has begun!

On Monday, the 24th summer school organized by the School of Economics and Business for students from all over the world began with the official opening.

Once again, during the three weeks of the summer school, the participants will have the opportunity to listen to highly renowned professors from all over the world, who will teach them knowledge about the most pressing and current topics in the world of economics, sustainability and artificial intelligence. Besides Slovene professors, this year’s lecturers come from 16 different countries.

The summer school started yesterday with an opening speech by Darja Bogataj Saksida, head of the office for international cooperation at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana. The participants were then addressed by the dean, prof. dr. Metka Tekavčič, who wished all students to connect and create friendships in the next three weeks and encouraged them to nurture and consciously build these international contacts even after their studies.

We are extremely proud that the participants were addressed by prof. dr. Ronald S. J. Tuninga, vice president of the Association of Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), whose accreditation, among others, is also held by SEB. He emphasized that the summer school is an excellent opportunity for learning, teamwork, getting to know new contexts and multicultural dialogue between young people. Then Dr. Turinga presented our dean with a Lifetime Achievement Award from AACSB, which with no doubt testifies to the incredible dedication the dean has shown to the faculty during her years as dean.
