Our group of Technology Management students worked on the project “Developing an optimal ordering strategy” with Novartis in Slovenia. The students evaluated the current ordering process for materials used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products in the Novartis Operations and identified the potential for improvement through the development of the ordering policy strategy and model, statistical analysis of company data, work on the establishment of the performance management system with visualisation and reporting using Power BI, and investigation of sustainability aspects related to transportation and packaging.
The results were successfully presented to key leaders and experts from Novartis Corporate Center Ljubljana last week. Our thanks to the Novartis project team Jerica Rozman Pungerčar, Eva Lipnik and Aleksandra Dragan and to Professor Marko Jaksic for his guidance.
