The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) extended the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation to the School of Economics and Business of Ljubljana University for the next five years. The decision and once again the prestigious recognition came from the accreditation committee based on the proposal of the evaluators who visited the faculty in June this year. It is one of the most prestigious and globally respected accreditations in the field of business education.
“With this prestigious international accreditation, the School of Economics and Business of Ljubljana University confirms the high quality of its educational programs, research achievements and its commitment to academic excellence. This international accreditation is not only a recognition of achieved and high-quality past work and achievements, but also confirms the faculty’s ambition and commitment to continuous improvement and adaptation to modern standards in both the pedagogical and research fields,” said Prof. Dr. Tomaž Turk, dean of SEB LU.
EQUIS is therefore also a very important reference for students at SEB and their future employers, as it ensures high quality education and students’ readiness for the challenges of the modern business world. Namely, during the accreditation process, EQUIS evaluators evaluated various aspects of the faculty’s business education, including the pedagogical process, its academic excellence, the faculty’s involvement in the international research space, the faculty’s connection with the economy, ethical aspects of operation, and the achievements of SEB in other key areas of operation.
