On Wednesday, October 11th, the School of Economics and Business came alive once again in all its glory with the traditional SEB Market, which took place in the faculty’s atrium. This event has become an indispensable start into the new academic year, which is already in full swing. And what could be better than starting a new academic period with an abundance of treats?
The hosts of the event, the Student council and Student organization of SEB LU, didn’t hold back. The faculty’s atrium was filled with the aroma of fresh burgers and delicious pancakes. This ensured that all the visitors left the event well-fed and content.
Despite the foggy morning hours, the event turned out to be unforgettable. The sun broke through, filling the atrium with the kind of energy that’s perfect for students to enjoy before they’re engulfed in quizzes and intensive study sessions.
The SEB Market isn’t just an opportunity for gourmet delights; it’s also a fantastic chance for student societies to showcase themselves. October is the month when these societies seek fresh faces and new members. At the stands, you could find the Student Section of the Slovenian Marketing Association (ŠSDMS), the Management Group, the Association of Female Business Students (DŠPV), the Association of Accounting and Auditing Students (DŠRR), the University Business Club (UBC), and the Young Project Managers (MPM).
Furthermore, the Career Centre of the SEB LU and Alumni SEB LU, along with event partners, also presented themselves at the market. The student societies actively promoted membership and excited visitors about upcoming events.
The highlight of the event was the “Tour de EF” contest, which encouraged participants to visit all the stands and participate in an exciting game.
In conclusion, the SEB Market truly marked the beginning of a new academic year, rich in academic, social, and cultural activities. The tradition lives on, and each year, it becomes better and more delicious.
